Diabetes is a Progressive Disease

It is an understood fact that diabetes is progressive thereby causing a change in symptoms and treatment. Patients must continue to seek regular care.

In type 2 diabetes the pancreas over produces insulin at first but in most patients the production eventually decreases. After this occurrence physicians generally make changes in medication and advise patients to alter diet and exercise habits.

Aging is a strong factor in diabetes progression along with other added medical conditions.
