Let's Get Healthy

As a diabetic have you ever been in a position where you had to order from a fast food menu? Well, it happens all the time. Let me give you a few ideas of things to eat that will be best for you. First try to get a look at the calorie count of the choices on the menu. Sometimes food that we normally think as bad may not be. For instance one slice of pizza with a salad could be a great choice. Whole wheat tortillas filled with vegetables or vegetable burritos could work.

Salad bars usually are a good choice as long as we stay clear of the heavy carbohydrate presence. Try to steer clear of cheese but include nuts, seeds and maybe a healthy lean meat.

Avoid fried foods. If a burger is necessary, go for the single patty, be light on the cheese and sauces. Drink plenty of water and enjoy.
