Recovery

I start this blog with mixed emotions regarding my recovery from shoulder surgery. First I was enduring right shoulder pain for almost two years followed in September 2019 by a diagnosis of a calcium deposit. My physician recommended a steroid injection in spite of diabetes. The injection was very effective for a few months, however the pain returned. In my effort to avoid leaving my home during the Pandemic the pain became worse. I returned to my physician in June 2020 and received another injection. This one was not as effective. Radiology demonstrated that the calcium deposit was too large for steroids and required SURGERY!

On the morning of surgery, I checked in with all my fears and anxiety. Feelings aside, I received the pre-op and endured the necessary work. I returned home for the RECOVERY.
