New Guidance In Place Of BMI to Determine Health Risk
There are new guidelines to determine health risk for diabetes as many people complain about using weight and height. Waist to height ratio is a new way to identify people that are at risk even if BMI is considered in a healthy range. The goal is for Waist/Height = 0.50 or less. To measure waist use the bottom of the ribs and the top of the hips. Then measure the waist half way between the two.
