Life as a Diabetic During Days of Covid-19

Fear and anxiety probably describe days during Covid-19. To begin let’s describe bad days. These times probably start with an early morning wake up realizing this day is the same as the previous ones.

For one particular diabetic it is met with a fasting blood glucose check. The numbers are usually disappointing because of stress and the negative choices from the day before. After this, meds

are taken and that sore achy feeling is again endured. One more day of the same is started with no exercise and eating whatever is available. Upon realizing that nothing has changed, new habits are formulated.

The first step in creating new habits is to start managing energy instead of time. In a diabetics life this translates to beginning the day, after blood glucose monitoring and medicine, with fasting cardio followed by a healthy breakfast. Stay tuned for the next step.
