Covid 19 From the Eyes of a Diabetic

As a diabetic Covid 19 could be it’s own unique experience. These are the words from a known diabetic’s personal episode. “ My exposure was from a close relative, my granddaughter. I first noticed her feeling exceptionally warm, so I performed a temperature check. Her temperature was a little high causing her mother to schedule an immediate appointment. Of course she was tested and determined to be covid positive. Her mother informed me and I quickly began my sanitizing routine. The next couple of days were unremarkable. I walked outside, ate healthy and rested well, however on the second day a scratchy throat appeared. As I was praying for the ever appearing allergy thing, the symptoms remained. In the midst of all that I performed 2 Rapid Covid tests which were both negative. My satisfaction was next to zero so I hurried to the clinic for a PCR test. By the next day I was informed that I was covid positive. My count for days of quarantine began. The medical professional advised me to stay home for 5 days. then wear a mask if I went out. The first 5 days were okay. I appeared to be improving. After a couple of days I began having some acid reflux, stomach like trouble. This was followed by extreme tiredness. I performed another home test which was still positive. Hopefully a few more days and I will be back to some feelings of normalcy.”
